Why Sean Graney

I understand the challenges teachers face, trying to deliver an impactful programme to our children. I speak from experience: I have two children currently attending schools in Ward 17.

As an educator, I see the issues that schools are dealing with outside of the classroom that are impacting the program delivery.  As a Realtor I can assist in the planning for the renewal or the replacement of our aging facilities.

My experience as the President of Yonge Hearts Child Care Centre has taught me about the value in developing educational plans that take our children from infancy all the way to adulthood.  I have significant experience in the planning and budgetary process with the daycare as well as the Returning Officer of Don Valley East.

There are barriers to delivering an exceptional educational program; I want to remove as many of these as possible.  I want our schools to be safer for both students and teachers. I want to see a renewing or replacing of existing facilities so that the teachers are excited about developing a program that takes full advantage of the tools and techniques we know help make our children take learning to a deeper level. I want to see more of our children participating in extra-curricular programs in an effort to promote more cohesion within the schools as well as developing healthier life styles in our children.
